CAREGIVING (In-Home, Community-Based)

Again, we partner with Mom’s Best Friend/College Sitters, Nannies & Tutors in Austin, Texas.  They have a great reputation for providing reliable, safe & secure (back-ground checks and safety training) caregiving.  This can include transportation into the community for vocational opportunities, job-shadowing, or any other local community activities that your child would enjoy.  Contact us to initiate a telephone interview, and subsequent in-take processing if you are a candidate for this service.  We evaluate all qualifications on a special needs-based criteria, and not on family or individual income.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

We can provide limited support for your child within the school.  We can also support parents as they maneuver through the IEP assessments, qualifications and renewals.  If you are experiencing challenges getting services you believe your child needs and qualifies for, we may be able to assist you in securing those services either within the public education arena, or outside of it, depending upon the case.  If it is not possible to secure public education services for legitimate reasons, we may be able to work with community resources to secure some activity/service that might achieve your goals for your child.

BEHAVIORIAL SUPPORT & ANALYSIS

We believe that ALL behavior is communication and that there is a message being sent – persistent behavior simply means that the motive or message is being reinforced in some manner.  Using a Full Functional Analysis model, we are able to assist parents and teachers with initial behavioral analyses whenever a child/student, and in some cases, older people with limited communication skills, have behavioral challenges that are not socially acceptable, and that are preventing that person from being able to 1) access all their environment has to offer and, 2)  make valuable contributions to their community.  We can offer alternative, socially acceptable behaviors that can function for your child so that they feel confident, calm, and in control as they express their wants and needs.  Please contact us with your contact information and a short description of the situation.
